Location-based scheduling breaks the project into a Location Breakdown Structure (floors, zones, sections) and plans each trade as a continuous flow through those locations, shown as diagonal lines on a flowline chart. Quantities per location drive durations, and the slope of each line shows crew productivity. Conflicts appear where lines cross, meaning two crews would be in the same location at the same time. It complements CPM by exposing workflow continuity and crew balance that a Gantt chart hides.

In ALICE Model the planner defines recipes: how each type of element is built, which crews and equipment it needs, productivity rates and constraints such as sequence or space. ALICE then generates and simulates many possible schedules and reports duration, cost and resource use for each, so the team can pick and refine a strategy. The output can be exported to P6 or MS Project and used as a normal 4D schedule. Results are only as good as the model quality and the recipe assumptions.
